This jacket was bought in 1945 by Victor and carefully cared for by him and later by his son.
Victor arrived in the US in 1939 from Europe just before the storm. He joined the US Army and crossed the Atlantic again this time in uniform. In 1944 he landed in Normandy days after D-Day. He fought in France and Germany. It wasn't history yet, it was survival. In 1945 the guns went silent and cities reopened. This jacket is the representation of hope, historic memory, and perseverance.
It is a fully restored and wearable piece of history.
