Sourcing & Process

How do you source vintage items?

We work with grandmothers and private collectors who have gathered beautiful garments over the course of a lifetime. We look for pieces with character, construction quality, and cultural relevance. Most often, we buy full wardrobes, closets at a time, along with the photographs and stories that came with them.

Where do the stories behind the pieces come from?

Whenever possible, we gather the history behind each item: personal memories, old photographs, original notes, or small keepsakes. All of it comes directly from the families and collectors we buy from.

How do you restore vintage items?

Every piece is professionally cleaned and then assessed for restoration: lining repairs, button reinforcement, minor tailoring, anything else it needs to be wearable. We don't shortcut this step. About 60% of what we buy doesn't make it past it.

Shopping & Sizing

How do I know what size to order?

Vintage sizing rarely matches modern sizing. Every listing includes flat measurements taken garment-by-garment. If you're between sizes or unsure, email us and we'll help.

Do you offer size exchanges?

Because every piece is one of a kind, we can't exchange a size. We do accept returns within 14 days of delivery for store credit. See our return policy below.

How are items photographed?

Every item is photographed on a model or flat lay against a neutral background. We aim to capture the true colour and condition accurately, including any wear that comes with vintage.

Can I reserve an item?

We don't offer holds or reservations. Our pieces sell fast. If you love it, don't wait.

Do you restock sold-out pieces?

Vintage means one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Authenticity & Quality

How do you verify authenticity?

Every piece is personally sourced and inspected by Ksenia and Elijah. We examine labels, construction, hardware, and provenance before anything enters the shop. If we wouldn't wear it, we don't sell it.

What condition are the items in?

We grade every piece honestly: Excellent (like new), Very Good (minor signs of wear), or Good (visible vintage character, noted in the description). We never sell anything we'd be embarrassed to gift.

Are items cleaned before shipping?

Yes. All garments are professionally cleaned or hand-washed before they're listed. Some delicate pieces are dry-cleaned only. Care instructions are included with each order.

Do you sell reproductions or vintage-style pieces?

Never. Every item is a genuine vintage piece with a real history. No reproductions, no vintage-inspired new-make, no exceptions.

Returns, Repairs & Guarantees

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for store credit. Items must be unworn and in the same condition as received. Because every piece is unique, we cannot offer cash refunds for change-of-mind purchases.

What if my item arrives damaged?

We pack everything with care, but if something arrives damaged or not as described, contact us within 48 hours with photos and we'll make it right with a full refund or replacement where possible.

Do you offer repairs or alterations?

We partner with a small circle of trusted tailors and restoration specialists. Get in touch and we'll connect you with the right person for your piece.
